Ric is a tournament player, specialising in medium/high buy in MTTs. After paying his way through university for a number of years he put his Maths and Statistics degree to good use as he took up the game full time.
Having built his first bankroll on the omaha hilo cash tables, he slowly moved to playing tournaments. After finishing 3rd in the Ladbrokes Annual MTT Leaderboard, he played solely MTTs the next year, playing over 20,000 MTTs in a year, and wining the 2006 Annual Leaderboard in the process.
In his 5 years as a full time player, Rick has played tens of thousands of MTTs across all levels, and in various different poker variants. With literally thousands of final tables and wins across all levels, he has also hit 5 figure wins in high buy in tourns on numerous occasions.
He bases his success on sound tournament strategy and mathematically correct decisions, whilst spotting and preying on peoples weaknesses.
His ability to adapt to any given tournament situation comes from vast experience in the field. He has played many large live tournaments around the world, and cashed in his first wsop main event for over $25,000.
Playing all poker variants he prides himself on great tournament strategy and his statistical approach to the game.
